The Plan made it into the top five at the book awards at Arles, congratulations to Michael and J&L Books!

Jeremy & Claire Weiss shot the cover & an eight page feature on Madlib for THE WIRE, worked with Ryan Ross (ex-Panic at the Disco), and took some well-deserved time off!

Photographer Lauren Dukoff worked with DAZED & CONFUSED, LIBERATION NEXT, and shot actor Jesse Eisenberg for DEATH + TAXES, The Gossip for NYLON, and Ann Philbin of the Hammer Museum for UCLA.  Lauren also worked several days with some of our favorite TV celebs on a shoot for our good friends at NYLON.  Her solo exhibit “FAMILY” debuted on July 18th at Space 15 Twenty in Hollywood, and will be up through mid-August.  Lauren’s work is also on exhibit at Monster Children Gallery in Sydney Australia!

Body Painter/Visual Artist William Lemon III’s opening at Fuse Gallery in NYC was a huge success!   The exhibition runs through August 8th so be sure to stop by and check it out if you’re in town.  Will also worked with director Jess Holzworth on a music video for Basement Jaxx, worked with TOKION, and is doing a special project for Citizens of Humanity (stay tuned).

Wardrobe Stylist Shirley Kurata stayed busy this month on jobs with Target, Comcast, and working with musician Harper Simon and band Say Anything (Sony Music).  She also styled Kate & Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte for POP MAGAZINE (which included a road trip to Yellowstone), and continues to work with Zooey Deschanel and Elijah Wood on various press for their respective films.

Michael Schmelling has been in Atlanta this past month, working on an upcoming book & film project.   While there, he shot a mix tape cover for Travis Porter.  You can buy his book THE PLAN at J+L Books or at a bookstore near you!

We sold out of books, ran out of liquor and had to turn people away at the door (sorry folks!) because we were over capacity… We couldn’t be happier!  Special thanks to Chronicle Books, Filter, Space 15 Twenty, Snack Bar, Tito’s Vodka, Illy Issimo and everyone who stopped by the event!
