Photographer & Director Michael Schmelling went to 6 countries in two weeks shooting Converse spots for Anomaly.  He also shot another Illy Issimo project for Anomaly.  Michael’s now back to work on his book project in Atlanta, and is designing a cover for Dylan Thomas’ collected poems for New Directions.  Michael’s work was exhibited at the launch of SHOOT: Photography of the Moment at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in NYC on Sept. 17th.  SHOOT presents the work of twenty-six photographers, including Nan Goldin & Wolfgang Tillmans, whose work focuses on capturing a moment rather than elaborate lighting setups or controlled, manufactured scenarios.
