AARON RUELL spent the last month in Paris directing TV spots for Volkswagen and upon his return, immediately went back to work on a project for OLD SPICE with our buddies at Wieden & Kennedy.

With The Lucie Foundation!  At Space1520!  Next Thursday (sorry, no fun link)!

Creativity Online recently interviewed Aaron about his latest fashion spread in Paper Magazine, here’s a little excerpt:

Director/Photographer  Aaron Ruell, repped out of Biscuit, is known for his quirky characters and keen art direction, evident in his recent print work for LG as well as his spots for NBCNewYork.com, Burger King and others.  Paper Magazine recently tapped him to shoot his first fashion assignment ever, for its March/April spring issue. Although shooting waify models and posh duds isn’t really his cup of tea, Ruell agreed to do the project as long as he could shoot at San Luis Obispo, California’s fabled resort hotel the Madonna Inn —his childhood summer mecca and home of spectacularly preserved kitsch.

AARON RUELL worked with our friends Music Go Music (Mercury Records/Secretly Canadian) and shot a striking fashion story for PAPER MAGAZINE’s March issue.  Aaron exhibited work at PAPER & Converse’s “We Love Art” event in LA on 1/23.  His LG Mobile “Give it a Ponder” campaign for Y&R has launched!  On the director side, he shot two spots for the Super Bowl that our wardrobe stylist, SHIRLEY KURATA, was also a part of.

Aaron Ruell shot an LG Mobile print campaign for our friends at Y&R.  He also has work included in two recently released books: Juxtapoz Photography & Hair’em Scare’em.
