Klaus Thymann is a happy & busy man today! He has just been announced as the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards Fashion & Beauty Photographer of the Year for his i-D fashion story where he follows an adventurer as he explores a series of remote glaciers around Iceland. The images showcase a departure from his normally elaborate, heavily staged fashion stories to that of one shot entirely with available light and natural surrounding. Klaus’ winning photographs will be part of a group show on display at the Somerset House in London from April 26 – May 12. And an added bonus – if you happen to be in London today, be sure to stop by the Strand Palace Hotel to hear Klaus speak on a panel about Fashion + Advertising from 15.30 – 17.00. More info here.
